Totally Free Paging.com,
Inc. has announced today at the Los Angeles Palm User Group Meeting its much-anticipated
palm-number.com service.
This service is free to
users and it delivers an unprecedented level of control and integration with
a range of wireless messaging services to the Palm Pilot community.
The palm-number.com service
enables users to receive voice mail, paging and fax notification services directly
to their Palm unit in addition to email and instant messaging. At the push of
a button a user can accept, route and transfer phone calls to voice mail or
to an automated assistant.
Based on the service, users
can also find out who is calling ahead of answering an incoming call. All this
requires downloading a free Palm Query application program which allows them
to control, adjust and direct their calls via a simple "stylus" push on the
Palm VII.
TFP's President Dave Uman
said, "As society becomes increasingly mobile, the need for immediate communications,
instant access to your callers and the ability to act on information is critical.
It is a requirement in order to maintain a competitive edge in the business
world. Palm-number.com continues our vision is a world in which people on the
move are never out of touch with the information they need to be successful.
To achieve this vision and
to make a difference, Totally Free Paging.com is working to become the leader
interactive wireless applications by providing innovative and low cost solutions
for the mobile user community. Service that includes some of the mentioned features
is scheduled to begin December 1st, 1999 nationwide.
